VIEILLE BÂTISSE, DOUSSARD
À Doussard, en Haute-Savoie, une maison ancienne apparaît derrière une végétation dense. Les fenêtres, les volets, la verrière et l’escalier extérieur révèlent une architecture façonnée par le temps et les usages.
La plume construit avec précision les volumes et les détails du bâtiment. L’aquarelle se concentre sur les feuillages. Les verts profonds entourent les façades et laissent circuler quelques passages de lumière.
L’œuvre ne cherche pas à isoler la maison de son environnement. Le bâti et la végétation occupent ensemble la composition. La nature accompagne l’architecture, la recouvre par endroits et transforme peu à peu sa présence.

In Doussard, Haute-Savoie, an old house appears behind dense vegetation. Its windows, shutters, conservatory and exterior staircase reveal an architecture shaped by time and use.
The pen precisely constructs the building’s volumes and details. Watercolour is concentrated within the foliage. Deep greens surround the façades and allow small areas of light to pass through.
The artwork does not separate the house from its surroundings. Architecture and vegetation share the composition. Nature accompanies the building, covers parts of it and gradually transforms its presence.
REGARDER DE PLUS PRÈS
A CLOSER LOOK
Les hachures de la plume définissent les ombres, les matériaux et les différents plans de la maison. Chaque fenêtre, chaque montant et chaque marche participe à la construction du dessin.
L’aquarelle introduit une matière plus libre. Les feuillages traversent les lignes architecturales et créent un contraste entre la rigueur du bâtiment et la croissance irrégulière de la végétation.
Pen hatching defines the shadows, materials and different planes of the house. Every window, frame and step contributes to the construction of the drawing.
Watercolour introduces a freer texture. The foliage crosses the architectural lines and creates a contrast between the structure of the building and the irregular growth of the vegetation.

Le regard passe de la grille du premier plan à la façade principale, puis rejoint la verrière et les arbres qui ferment l’arrière-plan. Cette succession donne au dessin sa profondeur.
La maison semble habitée par son environnement. Les branches encadrent les ouvertures. Les plantes couvrent une partie des murs. L’architecture reste pourtant lisible sous cette présence végétale.
The eye moves from the foreground gate to the main façade, then towards the conservatory and the trees closing the background. This succession gives the drawing its depth.
The house seems inhabited by its surroundings. Branches frame the openings. Plants cover parts of the walls. Yet the architecture remains clearly visible beneath the vegetation.
L’ŒUVRE EN SITUATION
Par son format horizontal de 29,7 × 42 cm, Vieille Bâtisse, Doussard trouve sa place au-dessus d’un meuble, d’un bureau ou dans un espace de lecture.
Un cadre sobre, en bois naturel ou noir, prolongera la précision du dessin. Un passe-partout blanc laissera respirer les marges du papier et mettra en valeur les nuances de vert.
L’œuvre peut être présentée seule ou rejoindre un ensemble consacré à l’architecture, au patrimoine de Haute-Savoie et aux paysages habités.
THE ARTWORK IN SITU
With its horizontal 29.7 × 42 cm format, Historic House, Doussard can be displayed above a piece of furniture, a desk or within a reading area.
A simple natural wood or black frame will complement the precision of the drawing. A white mount will preserve the margins of the paper and highlight the different shades of green.
The artwork can be displayed alone or as part of a group devoted to architecture, the heritage of Haute-Savoie and inhabited landscapes.

Drawing on location offers another way of examining a building. The eye follows its transformations, later additions and the traces left by those who have lived there.
