Building a Collection

From the original sketch to the unique painting, each artwork extends the same exploration of human posture, gaze, and space.

A collection does not necessarily begin with a single acquisition.
It may start with an original sketch drawn on site, continue with a limited edition fine art print, and gradually evolve into a work on paper or a large-scale painting.

Each piece carries the same attention to drawing, composition, and human presence.

DUINGT - VILLAGE 3 (Duingt - village 3) – 42 x 29 cm

INTERSAISON (In Between Seasons) – 50 x 50 cm
1 150,00 €

He walks briskly across the square,
as if carrying spring on his feet and winter on his head.
Flip-flops and a beanie, iridescent sunglasses,
his silhouette meets the striped shadow of the crosswalk.
A fleeting moment where logic tilts,
and the world wavers between two seasons, two states of being.

Artistic approach

With IN BETWEEN SEASONS, I sought to capture the oddness of transitional moments.
When the air can’t decide between cold and warmth,
and people wear a puzzle of garments borrowed from different climates.
The man strides confidently, yet his look puzzles:
a winter hat, summer sandals, mirrored lenses.
His shadow stretches along the zebra stripes,
accentuating the poetic tension of opposites.
This painting is a tribute to those moments that escape categorization —
when we walk on the threshold of change.

BUILDING A COLLECTION OVER TIME

Many collectors begin with a sketch or a fine art print before acquiring a more significant artwork.

This progression allows them to live with the artist’s work over time and to follow the evolution of the artistic vision.

The artworks can interact with one another:
preparatory sketches, works on paper, figurative series, and large-format paintings.

Together, they create a coherent collection centered on the human gaze and space.
