LES CYGNONS DE JUIN
Un matin de juin, six jeunes cygnes se déplacent ensemble sur le lac d’Annecy. Ils avancent parmi les nénuphars, serrés les uns contre les autres.
Camille Rouschmeyer concentre la composition sur leur groupe. Certains cygnons regardent devant eux. D’autres tournent légèrement la tête. Chaque posture donne à la scène son mouvement.
Le plumage clair se détache sur les bleus profonds du lac. Les reflets prolongent les silhouettes sous la surface, tandis que quelques feuilles de nénuphar situent la scène dans son environnement naturel.
THE CYGNETS OF JUNE
“Six young swans glide among the water lilies, gathered in the light of a June morning.”
One June morning, six young swans move together across Lake Annecy. They travel among the water lilies, remaining close to one another.
Camille Rouschmeyer focuses the composition on the group. Some cygnets look ahead. Others turn their heads slightly. Each posture contributes to the movement of the scene.
Their pale plumage stands out against the deep blues of the lake. Reflections extend their silhouettes beneath the surface, while a few water-lily leaves place the scene within its natural surroundings.

A CLOSER LOOK
Les touches claires décrivent la douceur et l’épaisseur du jeune plumage. Des nuances de gris et de beige donnent du relief aux corps sans rompre l’unité du groupe.
Dans l’eau, les bleus se croisent avec des passages turquoise, verts et noirs. Les reflets fragmentés accompagnent le déplacement des cygnons et donnent de la profondeur au lac.
Pale brushstrokes describe the softness and thickness of the young birds’ plumage. Shades of grey and beige give volume to their bodies while preserving the unity of the group.
In the water, blues mingle with touches of turquoise, green and black. Fragmented reflections follow the cygnets’ movement and create a sense of depth.
UN GROUPE EN MOUVEMENT
A GROUP IN MOTION
Les six cygnons ne forment pas une ligne régulière. Ils se rapprochent, se croisent et modifient leur direction. Cette organisation naturelle donne son équilibre à la composition.
Le groupe occupe le centre de la toile. Autour de lui, l’eau conserve assez d’espace pour laisser apparaître les reflets et le mouvement discret du lac.
The six cygnets do not form a regular line. They draw closer, cross paths and change direction. This natural arrangement gives the composition its balance.
The group occupies the centre of the canvas. Around it, the water retains enough space to reveal the reflections and the subtle movement of the lake.
