At the beginning, there is the sketch, born from a gaze directed at everyday life. The drawn moment, the engaging human posture that resonates, the one that gives a singular dimension to the unfolding day.

Then comes the studio work. From these sketches, contemporary figurative painting takes shape, expressed through a composition structured by the format of the canvas. The contemporary figurative painting is built through a precise dialogue between the body, space, and light.

I admit a preference for the square format, which fully supports my approach to human posture and traversed spaces. This format leads me to bring together surrounding perspective and the figure, inscribing them within a clearly defined contemporary composition.

My work unfolds like a long walk, guided by a gaze filled with emotion for those fleeting moments that escape us, along the way.
