RADEAUX DE LA FÊTE (Festival Rafts) – 30 x 40 cm
Drawn on site, this pen and watercolor study captures a quirky, silent scene: makeshift rafts abandoned after the festivities.
Through precise lines and restrained color, the battered metal drums, worn planks, and fragile structures tell another story — that of fleeting joy returned to nature.
In this in-between moment of human passage, the landscape seems to hold its breath.

Title: RADEAUX DE LA FÊTE
English Title: Festival Rafts
Date: 2018
Technique: Watercolor and ink
Dimensions: 30 × 40 cm
Framing: Unframed
Support: 300gsm white paper
Location: Annecy, France
Artistic Approach
Continuing the "Chemin faisant" series, this work questions the festive traces left on the landscape.
Through the combination of drawing and watercolor, I seek to capture the "after moment": when human presence slowly fades, leaving behind objects marked by use and celebration.
"Festival Rafts" invites us to look differently at what remains: the materials, the improvised forms, and their slow reintegration into the living world.
