“Expédition” : la Montagne à travers la plume et la pierre noire
Depuis toujours, j'ai été fasciné par la manière dont un espace, qu'il soit réel ou métaphorique, peut influencer notre perception de nous-mêmes et des autres. Mon travail s'est naturellement orienté vers cette exploration du lien intrinsèque entre format, posture et identité.
Chaque format que j'ai abordé est devenu pour moi un terrain d'expérimentation. Je m'interrogeais : comment un espace restreint ou vaste, un cadre carré ou circulaire, pouvait-il modifier la manière dont un individu s'y inscrit ? Comment notre posture, cette manifestation physique de notre être, se modifie-t-elle pour s'adapter ou défier ces contraintes spatiales?
Mais plus que la simple posture physique, c'est l'identité même qui est mise à l'épreuve. Dans un petit format, je me suis souvent senti restreint, presque comprimé. Mais cette contrainte a fait surgir en moi une essence concentrée, une version de moi-même plus introspective. À l'inverse, dans un format plus vaste, je me suis perçu plus libre, mais aussi plus vulnérable, dispersé dans l'immensité de l'espace.
Au fil de mes créations, j'ai commencé à voir une danse entre la posture et l'identité. L'une informe l'autre, dans un dialogue constant. Une inclinaison de la tête, un croisement de bras, une épaule haussée... chaque détail de la posture reflète une facette de l'identité, qu'elle soit assumée ou cachée.
J'ai aussi observé les autres, cherchant à déceler comment ils se comportaient face aux différents formats. J'ai vu des individus se déployer avec assurance dans des espaces confinés, tandis que d'autres cherchaient refuge dans les coins d'une vaste étendue. L'exploration de ce phénomène est devenue pour moi une quête incessante, presque obsessionnelle.
Aujourd'hui, à travers mes œuvres, je tente de capturer cette interaction dynamique, ce dialogue perpétuel entre l'espace, la posture et l'identité. J'invite le spectateur à se questionner, à s'interroger sur sa propre posture face au monde, et sur ce qu'elle révèle de son identité profonde. Car c'est dans cette intersection, dans cette danse délicate entre format, posture et identité, que réside, selon moi, une grande partie de l'essence de l'être humain.
