With ON THE ICE AXE, I sought to capture that rare moment
when the harshness of the mountain world

The guide, curled up for warmth, merges almost into the landscape itself,
blending with the folds and shadows of the rugged terrain.
The butterfly, an almost surreal detail, highlights the contrast between strength and fragility,
between raw stone and breath of life.
It is a painting about humility before nature,
