INVITATION AU BAIN (Invitation to Bathe) - Triptych – 1 x 103 x 74 cm and 2 x 40 x 40 cm

5 100,00 €

Water coils around her like a green caress.
Laughter and swirling eddies, sunlight sparkling in her eyes.
A suspended moment, stolen from the world’s modesty.
A basket resting in the grass, a red slip forgotten on a branch,
and the body, free, surrendered to the coolness of the stream.
Everything is here — in the off-frame, in what comes before and after.
The painting opens like a confession: the invitation is yours too.

Artistic approach

This work continues my thread of “water paths” — places of passage, self-abandon, and connection with the landscape.
Once again, Camille, my muse and presence, is at the heart of the scene, immersed in a natural bath, unposed yet radiant.
It is a secret scene, but never hidden.
The triptych unfolds a visual narrative: first, the clues (garments, the basket, the shoe), then the full revelation — the body embraced by the current.
The whole invites the viewer to rebuild the story, to feel the pull of the water as a shared memory, sensual and free.
